Harenc School accepts boys from the age of three to eleven years.  There is a maximum of 22 pupils in each year group.  If that year group is full then a child is welcome to be placed on a waiting list.

Interested parents will be sent a prospectus that will include the following information:

  • The school’s contact details.
  • The School’s Aims and Ethos.
  • The school’s Board of Governors and staff.
  • Our academic performance for 2008-09, including the Key Stage 1 teacher assessments, Key Stage 2 SATs’ results and 11+ results.
  • The fee sheet.
  • Term dates for 2009-10.
  • Uniform list.

Parents are invited to make an appointment to visit the school and experience its happy working atmosphere.

Parents are invited to make an appointment to visit the school and experience its happy working atmosphere.

The prospective pupil takes an entrance assessment for the Infant or Junior Department to assess the candidate's ability to gain optimum benefit from the educational opportunities provided by the school.  The offer of a place is dependent upon satisfactory performance in the assessment.  Reports are sought from the candidate's present nursery or school. Early Years' Foundation Stage pupils spend time with the EYFS staff for an informal assessment prior to the offer of a place.

If a place is available and on acceptance, a registration fee is required upon application for entry into the school.   There is a deposit fee payable on acceptance by the parents of an offer of a place.  This is repayable when the child leaves the school.  A term's notice is required if the child leaves before the completion of Year 6.  A full term's fees are due, in lieu of notice, if written confirmation of the intention to remove the pupil is not received by the first day of the term prior to the child's removal.

The term before the child is due to start, he will be invited to spend a morning or an afternoon in the Early Years' Foundation Stage and there will be an information evening at which you will be provided with all the information that you will need.  Children joining the school in other classes will also have an induction.
