Following the School Council's survey of improvements for the school, over 55% of pupils said they would like a garden area available for them to read and relax.
A grant of £100 has been received from Bexley's Healthy Schools Initiative to help facilitate the work. There are plans for the garden to be weeded and tidied on a regular basis, the pond to be stocked with fish and covered with netting, plastic benches to be put in for the boys to sit on, a greenhouse to be erected in one corner and fresh vegetables to be grown and served to the boys as part of Harenc's commitment to healthy eating.
Any contributions towards this work, either financial or material, would be very welcome.
Thank you to everyone who has joined the Gardening Club and agreed to help.
