Harenc School has Healthy Schools Accreditation and has received a certificate and golden apple to celebrate the fact that all of the schools in Bexley had attained Healthy School’s status. We have been able to add the accreditation award to our apple shield in the school entrance.
The Healthy Schools programme is based on a whole-school approach to physical and emotional well-being focused on four core themes, personal, social & health education, healthy eating, physical activity and emotional health & wellbeing. For more information visit - www.healthyschools.gov.uk

This term we hope to continue the Water in School initiative and to encourage the children to eat healthily at break times.
Early Years' Foundation Stage boys are provided with a drink and piece of fruit or vegetable during the morning.
We ask that all the boys from Prep 2 – Junior 4 bring in a piece of fruit or a healthy snack bar instead of chocolate or crisps.
During 2009's Healthy Schools Week in May boys were actively involved in making healthy fruit salads and biscuits. Our picture gallery shows boys enjoying their cookery lessons.
